FAQ

Can I organize a symposium and also be a discussant in another symposium?

Yes, this is allowed. Acting as a chair or organizer of a symposium does not preclude you from serving as a discussant in another symposium. Please note that you can only be the organizer or co-organizer of one symposium, and you can be a presenting author for only one abstract (symposium talk, blitz talk, or poster).

I want to submit a symposium as an organizer, but also a separate blitz as a first author; the submission system however does not allow me to submit the two. How can I proceed?

You can submit a symposium as an organiser and a separate blitz talk as a first author (if the symposium does not already include a talk by you as first author), but to do so you need to submit the two from two different email addresses.

Where do I indicate my co-authors’ details in the submission form?

The submission form includes a field to indicate your “co-speakers” information. This is where you can indicate the details of your co-authors. The mention of “co-speakers” instead of “co-authors” is an automatic setting of the submission platform that we are unfortunately unable to edit.

I am an undergraduate student (BSc, MSc, or similar). Can I participate and what would be my registration fee?

Yes, undergraduate students can participat if they can provide a certificate of enrolment in a program related to / including  social psychology. The registration fees applying for such participants would be the nonmember postgraduate fees (early bird: 420 euros; standard: 560 euros).

When can I register for the GM?

Registration is expected to open in February, with an early bird period running until the end of March. Regular registration will close at the end of May. Information about registering for the farewell dinner, preconferences, and other social events, will be provided during the registration process. All participants must register to attend the conference. For special cases or requests, please contact the organizational team: contact@easp2026strasbourg.com.

Can I get a discount or registration fee waiver due to financial constraints?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer registration fee waivers. The GM registration costs have been set at the minimum level possible to cover essential conference expenses. Reduced rates are available for EASP members and postgraduate students. We encourage you to explore these discounted categories if applicable, and to contact your institution about possible funding support for conference attendance.

I’m a commercial exhibitor—how can I request a stand?

If you are interested in a commercial stand or sponsorship, please contact: melodie.maillez@u-paris.fr.

Where and when will the social events occur? What if I have dietary or accessibility needs?

As of September 2025, the social program is still being finalized. A welcome drink with finger foods will be offered at the end of the first day, likely in the conference center. The farewell dinner will occur outdoors, in the university palace park, on the last day. Only the farewell dinner will require registration. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available for both events. If you have dietary restrictions, you have the opportunity to indicate them during registration. For any other request, please contact: contact@easp2026strasbourg.com.

Do I have to be an EASP member to attend the conference?

No, you do not have to be a member to attend. Non-members are welcome to register, but the registration fee is higher. EASP members enjoy a reduced rate, which can make membership worthwhile before registering.

Can I apply for EASP membership, and how long does it take?

Yes, depending on your career stage, you may apply for EASP membership. The process may take some time depending on the session, as recommendation letters are required. More information: EASP Membership

What if someone can only stay one day: Is there a registration option for that?

The registration fees are based on the overall conference costs, and unfortunately, we do not have a specific option for one-day attendees.

Are the conference venues accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Venues & transport: The main congress venue, the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès (PMC), is fully accessible (lifts and adapted facilities). Both the PMC and the pre-conference site (Historical site of the University of Strasbourg, 30 June 2026) are served by tram lines accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Pre-conference sessions (30 June). Not all rooms at the historical site are easily accessible. If you let us know which pre-conference(s) you plan to attend, we will schedule them in a fully accessible building (write to contact@easp2026strasbourg.com).

Hotels:  All hotels listed on the GM website offer accessible rooms. For wheelchair users, we do not recommend the Diana and Dragon hotels (rooms are quite small). Good nearby options include BOMA, Léonor, and Hannong (comfortable rooms, close to tram stops); Marriott (near the conference venues; slightly less central but convenient for PMC access).
