Diversity – General information
Several actions are being implemented to ensure an inclusive and welcoming event for all participants. You will find some of this information in the different sections related to diversity.
In addition to initiatives developed over the past year, this year we have paid particular attention to the specific needs of neurodivergent participants and participants with caregiving responsibilities by introducing a number of targeted measures.
In particular:
- a quiet room with reduced sound and light stimulation will be made available, allowing participants who need it to take a break and reduce the sensory overload that can arise during large-scale events,
- a parenting room will also be available for participants who need a private and comfortable space for caregiving-related needs,
- earplugs and sanitary products will also be available at the welcome desk and in the quiet room.
In addition, customizable badges will allow participants to indicate their pronouns, if they wish, as well as any other information they consider relevant, such as attending the conference for the first time, introversion, the languages they speak, etc..
These actions, supported by Stras&ND, aim to improve the inclusion of different groups of participants for whom attending this type of event may be associated with stress and concerns that their needs will not be taken into account.
