As part of this event, EASP Preconferences will be held on June 30, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is a preconference?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A preconference is a one-day event focusing on a specific theme within social psychology or addressing methodological and epistemological issues relevant to the field.<br>The format is flexible: organizers may invite speakers directly or launch an open and selective call. Sessions may include talks, blitz presentations, workshops, or any combination thereof.<br>For reference, you can see the themes from the previous General Meeting here:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.easp.eu\/news\/itm\/invitation_to_participate_in_pre-1641.html\"><strong>Previous Preconference Themes<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to submit a preconference proposal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you would like to organize a preconference, please submit your proposal to:<br>&nbsp; easppreconferences@gmail.com<br>Deadline: 14 September 2025, at noon (CEST)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your submission must follow the attached form:<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1qeDsjKhzPHv0UN2QMEQSdP50VDtBewjQ\/edit?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=103790327861634269570&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true\"> click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Selection criteria and process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preconferences will be selected based on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scientific quality of the proposal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anticipated interest within the EASP community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential overlap with other submissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribution to EASP\u2019s goals on diversity and inclusion (e.g., representation across research groups and institutions, cultural diversity, early-career involvement)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection will be made by the EASP Preconference Team in consultation with the EASP Executive Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each selected preconference will be assigned a maximum number of participants based on space availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notification of acceptance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will be informed of the selection outcome by 15 October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What happens if your preconference is selected?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your proposal is accepted, you will act as chairs of the preconference. This involves:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(If applicable) Preparing and sending a call for talks\/blitzs by 30 October 2025, to be shared through GM and EASP communication channels.
